This Initial Cabin Crew Training Course is an introductory aviation training each trainee must undergo and successfully complete before being issued with the EU qualification document ‘Cabin Crew Attestation’ in accordance with Part CC requirements.
Each trainee will receive an adequate level of familiarisation with the aviation environment and will acquire general (i.e.: non‐operator related) knowledge and basic proficiency required for the performance of cabin crew duties and responsibilities for the safety of aircraft occupants during flight operations in normal, abnormal, and emergency circumstances.
Initial Safety Cabin Crew Training includes the following subjects as per Part-CC (appendix 1) to Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011:
- General theoretical knowledge of aviation and aviation regulations covering all elements relevant to the duties and responsibilities required from cabin crew;
- Communication;
- Introductory course on human factors (HF) in aviation and crew resource management (CRM);
- Passenger handling and cabin surveillance;
- Aero-medical aspects and first-aid;
- Dangerous goods in accordance with the applicable ICAO Technical Instructions;
- General security aspects in aviation, including awareness of the provisions laid down in Regulation (EC) No 300/2008;
- Fire and smoke training;
- Survival training.
